You are brand new to Jira and are not sure what the product does. How do you get started using Jira? How will it help you with your work and help your team collaborate? If you have these or similar questions, then this course is for you.

In this course, you’ll learn all the basics regarding Jira Software. You’ll get comfortable with Jira through hands-on experience performing the most common tasks, working through real-life scenarios on a preconfigured instance of Jira. You’ll also learn the basics of managing and tracking team issues and projects. You’ll learn Jira’s underlying hierarchical structure and how everything is connected in Jira.
You’ll return to your jobs feeling confident that you can get started with Jira in your everyday work. No prerequisite knowledge of the product is needed.

After attending this course, attendees should be able to:

  • Create and edit Jira issues and progress them through the workflow
  • Learn how organizational structures are mapped to Jira
  • Describe how issues are organized in Jira
  • Be able to quickly look up issues in Jira
  • Save a search to simplify status requests
  • Create Jira reports and dashboards
